Mrs. Gorham told The Royal Gazette the public shouldn't get to know artists "once they die''.
"Artists are were special people and we should get to know them before they die. This is why we have Meet the Artist so people will know who they are and what they think about a variety of topics, like the art scene for example.'' On September 18, Maurine Cooper will present a slide lecture on Winslow Homer and October 2 will see Brian Webb and Michael Jones return with more dramatic readings and music.
Desmond Fountain, Catherine Draycott and Carole Holding are just some of the 40 artist who have been introduced to the public at the Wednesday lunchtime chats.
Moderator Marlee Robinson, a senior curator at the gallery, invited the public to bring their lunches and questions to the National Gallery located in City Hall.
