Political integrity the theme of NAR discussion

tonight, "Political integrity -- What is it? And how do we ensure it?'' The discussion is part of the Future Search project and aims to show that political integrity is not just for politicians.

Co-founder of NAR Dr. Eva Hodgson said: "The people that have expressed concern for political integrity are concerned about it only for the politicians and not for themselves. It is totally dependent upon voters themselves in any society professing democracy.'' The discussion will take place at Wesley Methodist Church Hall at 7.30 p.m.

*** The Bank of Butterfield presented West End Primary and Saltus Senior School with school participation awards for their performances in the Mile Trials and the actual Bank Mile.

West End Primary won the Primary School award while Saltus won the secondary school award.

A formal presentation will take place at each school with a bank representative presenting plaques which the schools will be able to keep for one year.

*** Lovers of the Concert in the Park series are in for a great year with gospel performances, soulful rock and roll and a youth talent tribute among this year's line-up.

All accomplished musicians and entertainers in Bermuda are encouraged and invited to be part of the '97 concerts.

To take part, simply pick up an entry form from the Corporation of Hamilton.

All entries must be submitted four weeks prior to the concert date. A selection committee will then choose participants based on accomplishments in the entertainment industry, as well as to pertinence to the concert theme.

This year's first concert is on Sunday April 13 "Gospel -- In the Spirit'' from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
