vital costumes failed to arrive from America.
The zany Harvard University performers were forced to cancel last night's premiere of their musical "Me and My Galaxy''.
And doubt hangs over the remaining shows planned for tonight, Friday, Saturday and Monday at City Hall in Hamilton.
Now the group -- renowned for their drag act -- could take legal action in a fight for compensation.
The group's technical director Mark Risher told The Royal Gazette last night: "We will review our options.'' Mr. Risher said the costumes and equipment had been expected to arrive from New York on Sunday. But he later discovered the gear had gone to Atlanta.
"We are not sure why this happened. We have heard a rumour that part of the stuff has now arrived -- and we will have to check this out tomorrow. If this is true then we should be able to put on the remaining shows.'' The Bermuda Musical & Dramatic Society president Kevin Blee said Wednesday night theatre-goers could exchange their tickets for one of the remaining shows.
Mr. Blee said sales, exchanges or refunds would be handled at the Visitors Service Bureau Box Office today from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., or at the City Hall Box Office on Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Monday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
