Scholarship for 1997.

Bermuda Rhodes Scholarship Committee chairman John Collis made the announcement last week.

Miss Pitman graduated from Warwick Academy in 1990 with 11 GCE `O' levels.

She attended The Armand Hammer United World College for a year and then went to Queen's University in Ontario where she pursued a degree in Political Studies and Sociology.

After graduating with Class I Honours in May, 1996, Miss Pitman then took several Master's level courses in Counselling Psychology at Indiana University.

Her other interests include athletics and physical fitness and Miss Pitman has represented Bermuda at several overseas meets. She is also involved in numerous volunteer activities which she has helped to organise.

Miss Pitman will now attend Worcester College where she will pursue a Master of Science in Sociology.
