Spreading Christmas cheer . . .
visiting the Island's prisons.
The entertainment showcase, scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, is called "Sharing the Christmas Spirit'' and will feature talents from all aspects of the community.
The show's producer Ms Gina Spence said: "This is the fourth showcase that we have put on for the prisons (Westgate, the Prison Farm and the Co-Ed facility), and we asked performers to bring something positive to the audience to lift their spirits and encourage them to get through their time.'' She added: "The inmates look forward to it because it is local and they know some of the entertainers and seeing the young people doing something is positive.'' Performing at the shows will be Spiritual Peace, Ras Georges, Jah, Ufonics from the Old School, United Productions, vocalist Tomisha Wade, Gospel Diamonds in the Rough, and In His Image.
"Our whole reason for doing this show is to share the Christmas spirit. In the past we have received letters of appreciation from the inmates. It's all about sharing,'' Ms Spence said.
She added that all the performers in the showcase had donated their time free of charge.
Gina Spence Productions will also be performing at Agape House.
