The closing date for entries to the Bermuda Monetary Authority competition to design the best-selling coin is Friday.

Artists must submit original artwork on unmounted white paper no larger than eight inches by ten inches and be accompanied by an official entry form, one page artist's statement and a resume of the artist.

According to the BMA design brief, the theme must be of a Bermudian nature and have a nautical flavour.

The entries will be judged by top BMA officials, representatives of the UK Royal Mint, the Bermuda Arts Council and a local artist.

Entries should be submitted to the BMA, Burnaby House, 26 Burnaby Street, Hamilton, PO Box HM 2447, Hamilton HM JX. no later than 5 p.m. on Friday.
