Bermuda National Gallery Eyes on the World in partnership with the Alexia Foundation, Women Artists in the Bermuda National Gallery Collection, Impressions of Bermuda: The David L White Gift to the BNG, and Meredith Andrews: Portraits of Power. The gallery is also pleased to partner with the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum & Zoo with this youth art exhibition featuring the photography created by students in Youth Camera Action, a subsidised photography programme for middle school youth ages 11 to 14. There will be an opening reception on Thursday, April 4 from 5.30pm until 7pm. The gallery is open Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm and Saturday and Sunday 12pm to 5pm. Telephone 238-0173 or 295-1783.Bermuda Arts Centre at Dockyard A new show entitled “Spring”, featuring works from artists like Lydia Franks, Christopher Grimes, Marlene Jantzen, Kok Wan Lee, Christopher Marson, Chesley Trott and Tricia Walters. They also have a solo show by Nahed Eid entitled “Eternal Bloom” The show remains open until May 3. The Arts Centre is open every day from 11am — 5pm.St. George’s Historical Society will be hosting the Jubilee Exhibit, which explores Bermuda’s fascination with British Royalty from 1883 — 1953. The exhibit showcases Royal memorabilia from the personal collections of the Society’s members. Located on the corner of Duke of Kent Street & Featherbed Alley, St. George’s, the society’s winter hours are 10am to 4pm Wednesdays and Saturdays. It’s hours are now from 10 to 4pm Mondays to Thursdays & Saturdays. Museum entry: $5 for adults, $2 for children.Bermuda Society of the Arts has four new shows running from April 5th until the 23rd. Bermuda College Student Art Show will be showing in the Onions Gallery; while art produced by members of Milton Hill’s De Boys Day Out Club will be on display in Studio A. Photographer Fayelle Wharton Bush will be focusing on graphic and geometric design in her exhibit called The Nature of Design in Studio B; while BSoA will be showcasing work produced during its many classes and workshops in ‘Art in Progress’ in the Edinburgh Gallery. There will be an opening reception from 5.30pm to 7pm. It will also be the sixth show the two artists have held together since 2003; and will be on display until May 1.
