Sunday’s ‘To Bermuda With Love’ concert will benefit Cablevision’s food drive

A “one of a kind show” will be bringing together some of the Island’s much loved performers in support of a good cause this weekend.

Bermuda CableVision will be hosting a family concert called ‘To Bermuda with Love’ at the National Sports Centre on Sunday at 5.30pm.

The event will benefit the company’s ‘Open Hands, Loving Hearts’ food drive, launched back in April 2013.

There will be no admission fee, but each guest will be asked to donate at least three non-perishable food items before going in to watch the show.

The donations will be passed out to charitable organisations around the Island, tasked with feeding the needy.

Performers for this weekend’s event will include: En Harmony; Shine Hayward; The AME Church Mass Choir; Bermuda Institute School Choir; Filipino Dancers; Portuguese Dancers; Hamilton Seventh Day Adventist Mass Choir and Sandy Secondary Drumline Band, among many others.

Terry Roberson, the CEO of CableVision, said it would be an event worth experiencing.

“We are very excited to be bringing another one-of-a-kind show to the Bermuda public to help support our ‘Open Hands Loving Hearts’ Food Drive,” Mr Roberson said. “To Bermuda With Love will showcase some of the Island’s most gifted performers, all coming together to show their love for Bermuda and their support for this very worthy cause.

“We invite everyone to come out and enjoy this family event where they can experience great entertainment while taking a step toward ending hunger in Bermuda.”

Rollin Nathan, one of the key organisers of the concert, said this would be an opportunity to celebrate the Bermuda Day holiday early.

“We look forward to seeing as many people as possible this Sunday and to sharing the love once again [through] this very memorable and uplifting show,” he added.
