The Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences is to host the premiere of ‘The Meaning of the 21st Century’ on Thursday.
Dr. Martin transformed his book into a documentary in order to increase public awareness of the challenges facing the 21st century and how we can solve them.
The documentary was filmed on six continents and features interviews with leading world figures such as John McCain, Craig Ventner, Lord Rees (President of the British Royal Society) and Lord Patten (ex-governor of Hong Kong). Top scientists including Freeman Dyson, Gordon Moore and James Lovelock are also interviewed.
The film — which is awaiting a final edit — will be shown at the BIOS campus in Hanson Hall, Ferry Reach, St. George’s at 6.30 p.m. There will be a cash bar from 6 p.m. and a question and answer session afterwards. Admission is $10 for members, $20 for non-members.
