Third BRRI forum next week
The third forum of the Bermuda Race Relations Initiative (BRRI) is scheduled to take place at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess on Monday, May 21 and Tuesday, May 22 from 8.30 a.m. until 3.30 p.m. daily.
BRRI aims to move the Island in a progressive, new direction on the issue of race. Americans Dr. Bernestine Singley and Professor Robert Jensen will facilitate the forum, which is hoped to be a key component in an overall strategy of race relations discussions leading the way to meaningful change.
Organisations across Bermuda are invited to join by sending a representative to the forum to recognise its importance and impact.
Those interested in participating should contact the Community for Unity and Racial Equality (CURE) at 296-0613 or log onto www.cure.bm. Refreshments will be provided on both days.
