West end residents lost their telephone and Internet connections for several hours yesterday.

Around 4,000 BTC lines went down in Somerset and Dockyard at around 9.15 a.m due to what company spokesman Susan Nearon described as a faulty cable in the Rockland's, Warwick area.

Service was restored at 1 p.m.
