A man is in intensive care after an alleged assault in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The 26-year-old, from Sandys, sustained three lacerations to the head and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital by ambulance.

The alleged incident took place at 2.40 a.m. in Glebe Road, Pembroke.

Police officers questioned members of the public in the area but no one gave any information. Police are now appealing for witnesses to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.
