An unidentified man refuses care from paramedics after he was in collision with a car on North Shore Road in Hamilton Parish.

This was the scene after a car was in collision with a pedestrian at the foot of Crawl Hill last night. The accident happened near Radnor Road, Hamilton Parish, at about 8 p.m. and involved a white station wagon and a man who was crossing the road. An onlooker claimed that the man had refused treatment. The witness, who did not wish to be named, said: “He initially refused care and left the scene on a bicycle. He was picked up further down the road by an ambulance but then I saw the paramedics physically remove him from the ambulance. He then walked down the Railway Trail followed by Police and later I saw him talking with officers back on the road. I believe he was then taken to hospital.” At the time of going to Press, the Police were unable to provide further details but a spokesman said: “I can confirm that someone was injured and taken to hospital. His injuries are not thought to be serious.”
