Police were called to reports of disorder at the Southampton Rangers sports club on Sunday evening, but found no problems when they arrived. Police spokesman Robin Simmons said the alert came through at 5.40pm. ?When we attended there was no disturbance going on. Police interviewed some people but no-one came forward to say they had any injuries and no-one gave any information about what happened,? he explained.

Man punched to the ground, wallet taken

A 49-year-old Pembroke man suffered cuts and bruises after he was punched to the ground and had his wallet stolen on Friday.

Police said the man was attempting to open the front door of his Glebe Road home at 7.10 p.m. when two unknown men assaulted him and stole a wallet containing $375 cash before escaping on a motor-cycle. The suspects are described as two black men, each about 6ft 2in, weighing 160 pounds. Witnesses should call 295-0011.

Computer, cash stolen in two break-ins

A computer and cash were taken during break-ins in Pembroke and Warwick. The first theft at Hill Crescent saw a Toshiba laptop computer taken. In the second at Keith Hall Road, cash was stolen.
