Motorists on Middle Road in Paget were confronted by several large boulders and a pile of sand dumped in the middle of the road on Wednesday afternoon ? with Police at a loss as to how the debris ended up there.

The Department of Works and Engineering was informed of the obstruction, and arrived to find two members of the public already clearing the road with shovels. The Police yesterday thanked the two individuals for their efforts.

l Police are warning residents of the Mount Hill/Overview Hill area to be extra vigilant following spate of recent break-ins.

Residents were urged to lock away their valuables, adequately secure their houses and keep a sharp eye out for any suspicious individuals.
