A man escaped being injured after being shot at by two men on a bike, police said tonight.

The incident happened at 9pm yesterday in the Crane Lane area of North Shore Road, in Pembroke.

A?Police spokesman said:?“It appears that two men on a motorcycle confronted and discharged a firearm at another man who was on foot in the area. There were no reported injuries.

“However, upon arrival in the area police arrested a 30-year-old man in connection with the matter and a quantity of suspected controlled drugs was seized. Evidence was also found to confirm that a firearm had been discharged. An active investigation into this incident is underway.”
