Members of the Parks Department will join Police Officers today as the search for missing senior Frank Cabral intensifies.

Mr. Cabral, 70, of Cove Valley, St. David?s suffers with Alzheimer?s disease. He has been missing for 12 days and Police say they have no leads on his whereabouts.

And area MP Suzanne Holshouser is calling on the local community to join her in a separate search effort today beginning at 5.30 p.m.

Ms Holshouser said she hoped there would be a large turnout.

?The Police have been working every day and searching for him,? she said. ?But when I went in for the election I made a pledge I would work hard and I told the constituents when I called for the community they should come and support me, so I am hoping the community will come out and support this search.

?We only have a few hours during the week days and while I appreciate that 5.30 p.m. is late, it is the time when most people will be at home,? she said.

Ms Holshouser said everyone should meet at 5.30 p.m. at Dark Bottom in St. David?s.

Inspector Clarke Minors who is heading the case, said between 12 and 15 Police Officers and civilians from the Parks Department would be involved in this morning?s search.

?We have something planned tomorrow just in the St. David?s area from 9 a.m. until at least one o?clock,? he said. understands that an area of trees at Dark Bottom, will be cleared to enable a good search of the area. Ms Holshouser said that the community search would continue daily until Mr. Cabral is found. ? If it goes into the weekend, we will extend the hours,? she added.

Mr. Cabral is a white Portuguese male, five feet three inches tall, balding with grey hair. He was last seen on Friday, February 13, wearing tan pants and a red shirt.
