Four men are still in Police custody after being arrested in connection with a shooting outside the home of acquitted murder suspect Everett Jahni Bean this week.

The men were arrested on Tuesday in a Police swoop by the armed Emergency Response Team, and have been held for questioning since.

Gunshots were fired outside the Smith's Avenue home of 20-year-old Mr. Bean, in Warwick, as he was celebrating being cleared of murdering Tekle Zion Mallory outside the Ice Queen restaurant in July 2001.

According to a source, Mr. Bean was standing in his yard with friends at about 9 p.m. when he apparently spotted someone standing in the trees near his home.

Sensing something was wrong, he is said to have ran inside, at which point several shots were fired.

The incident left 15-year-old Nicky Tucker Jr in hospital with a gunshot wound to his left foot.

The four men arrested are aged between 21 and 33.
