Patricia Gordon-Pamplin is being hotly tipped to become the Opposition?s Finance spokesman as new leader Wayne Furbert?s reshuffles the United Bermuda Party team today.

Mrs. Gordon-Pamplin, chief accountant of insurance company Everest (Bermuda) Ltd., had been considered for the post under former leader Grant Gibbons.

It?s understood Dr. Gibbons wants to take a backseat after recently being dumped after four years at the party?s helm.

However he could have an advisory role on finance along with Opposition Senator Bob Richards.

If Mrs Gordon-Pamplin gets the finance portfolio her Works and Engineering brief will be up for grabs, although Wayne Furbert, also an accountant, might opt to take on Finance himself or give it to Cole Simons, say party sources.

New leader Mr. Furbert is also expected to announce someone to take over his housing portfolio while changes to the tourism brief, currently held by Sen. Kim Swan are also expected.

It?s understood that David Dodwell will be moved from the Race Relations and Economic Opportunity brief after several low-key months as spokesman.

Change is also expected in the youth and sport brief, currently held by Jon Brunson.
