Government sets deadline for sustainable development plan
Government is aiming to have a Sustainable Development Plan by the end of August.
A release from the Department of Communication and Information yesterday said that Government is inviting submissions on the topic and what it means for Bermuda.
The public are encouraged to make their submissions in writing and send them directly to the UK consultant hired to help Government formulate a plan.
Ross Andrews, was hired last month to help Government?s Central Policy Unit craft a the plan.
Mr. Andrews is a former consultant from the Department of the Environment and Rural Affairs in the UK and also worked for the United Nations.
According to a Press release, Government wants input on the topic to come from all sectors of the community.
It also said that this request for submissions would not be the main opportunity for the public to have input.
?More detailed submissions will be welcomed as the project develops,? the release read.
Submissions should be e-mailed to randrewsgov.bm.
