Inflation shows marginal fall

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 7: Inflation fell marginally in October, according to statistics released today.The Consumer Price?Index showed the rate of inflation stood at three percent, a drop from 3.4 percent in September this year.The health and personal care sector was the largest contributor to the increase as prices increased by 7.6 percent year over year.

The health and personal care sector was the largest contributor to the increase as prices increased by 7.6 percent year over year.

Food and rent also impacted strongly on the annual rate of inflation, as price shifts in those sectors were 3.6 percent and 1.9 percent, respectively.
