Island goes on sale at Selfridges
Bermuda was plugged at Selfridges, one of Britain's most famous stores this week.
Tourism Minister Renee Webb said the mega-store's window display translated into nearly a quarter of a mile of images, billed as the largest travel advertisement Europe has ever seen.
The same images of beaches and scenery will also be seen in Selfridge's Birmingham and Manchester stores.
Ms Webb said: "For the next week, Bermuda will be appearing in all its glory across the UK.
"The window display is presented with pink beaches and sophisticated scenery, what Bermuda is traditionally known for.
"At this time of year, because of the UK's wet and unpredictable weather, the images are very contrasting and people can't help but be drawn to the warmth and uniqueness of the display.
"We also have 80 plasma screens inside the store rotating Bermuda advertisements and we estimate that roughly 70,000 people will be exposed to these images of Bermuda.
"We have touted Bermuda as a viable travel destination with an upscale, sophisticated, yet cultural atmosphere.
"From the feedback I have received so far it has been very positive and we are hoping that in the near future this will translate into a substantial visitor numbers for Bermuda."
