Lost blood after attack

A Pembroke man lost two pints of blood after being stabbed in his own home on Friday.The 53-year-old victim said someone knocked at the door of his Mount Hill home at around 7 p.m.When he opened it a man pushed him over and he lost consciousness. When he woke up he alerted a neighbour and was rushed to hospital for treatment of injuries which included four stab wounds to his forehead and two stab wounds to his leg.

He needed a blood transfusion to replace the lost two pints of blood and but was discharged from a general ward on Sunday.
