A Sandys man, who can not be named for legal reasons, admitted to having carnal knowledge of a girl under the age of 14 yesterday.

The man pleaded guilty to two charges of carnal knowledge relating to the same girl between January 1, 2002 and March 11, 2003.

He also pleaded guilty to the same charge in relation to another young girl, under age 14, on January 1, 2002.

But he denied a fourth charge of sexual assault.

He also pleaded guilty to a fifth charge if unlawful carnal knowledge of a girl between age 14 and 16.

Peter Farge appeared for the defence and Graveney Bannister appeared for the Crown.

Mr. Farge asked for a social inquiry and probation report to be done.

Justice Charles Etta Simmons remanded the man in custody for mention on March 1 pending all reports.

Charges dropped against Jamaican man

Two of three Jamaican nationals charged with conspiracy to import cocaine appeared in Supreme Court yesterday.

Kesha Mackeba James, 28, pleaded guilty to attempted possession with intent to supply cocaine on October 26, 2002.

She was remanded in custody until her sentence date on January 15.

James was represented by Mark Pettingill and Lloyd Rayney appeared for the Crown.

But Justice Charles Etta Simmons told co-accused Garsha Andre Daley: "The Crown are not proceeding against you at this time. You are free to go."

It is understood that Daley will be deported due to entering Bermuda on a false name.

Michelle Brown previously pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to five years in prison.
