Perinchief launches new business

Government backbencher Wayne Perinchief has gone into the import business. The former top Policeman had more recently been in security and had owned a parasailing business, which he has since sold off. He hopes his new venture, with two partners, will be up and running within three months. It will mainly be dealing with the Caribbean.

?I will bring in building supplies ? building blocks and tiles. There are good prices. We will bring up what we can, beverages too.

?I always worked in a structured environment with Government and security.?

The new venture will give Mr. Perinchief the chance to further explore his entrepreneurial side first established with a parasailing business in St. George?s which he sold to his business partner. He said: ?Politics is a big drain on your time. Parasailing is very hands on. I was out there on the water eight to 12 hours a day.?

Mr. Perinchief, 62, added: ?I am semi-retired. I will be my own boss. I am arranging my political life and my business life so they can be compatible.?
