Teen in court on drug charges
A 17-year-old will stand trial on drugs charges after he appeared in Magistrates' Court yesterday.
Jason Pimental, pictured, of Hamilton Parish, pleaded not guilty to three charges of importing cannabis, possession and possession with intent to supply.
Pimental was stopped at the Bermuda International Airport on January 12.
Acting Senior Magistrate Carlisle Greaves set the matter down for trial in Magistrates' Court on March 5. Pimental was released on $2,500 bail and ordered to surrender all travel documents.
A woman was charged with assaulting a toddler yesterday in Magistrates' Court.
Lanelle Ruth Dillas, 42, of Devonshire, pleaded not guilty to causing actual bodily harm on a 17-month-old child.
Acting Senior Magistrate Carlisle Greaves set the matter down for trial on February 25.
And a Hamilton parish teen faces trial after pleading not guilty to using offensive words and possessing an offensive weapon.
Keoki Cann, 17, was arrested at the 24-hour gas station on Richmond Road on December 22.
In Magistrates' Court on Tuesday he was given $250 bail to re-appear for trial on March 3.
