Work on building 20 residential units at the $250 million Tucker's Point luxury resort is due to be finished by May.

The development was given the go ahead by the Development Applications Board (DAB) earlier this month, although demolition work began in December.

The DAB stipulated trees removed or damaged during building must be replaced while the walls must be faced with Bermuda stone.

The units will comprise the Residence Club at Tucker's Point, a third alternative to owning property at the Tucker's Town community. Similar to luxurious flats or apartments, up to ten owners (200 owners in total) will share the two-, three- and four-bedroom villas sitting on the hilltop overlooking 17th fairway of the Tucker's Point Golf Course.

The Residence Club will also feature its own clubhouse and pool and will have views of Harrington Sound, Castle Harbour and the ocean. The concept is similar to those employed by international resorts such as Aspen and Deer Valley, but is a first for Bermuda.
