A 29-year-old woman accused of stealing almost $60,000 from her former employer appeared in Magistrate's Court yesterday.
Doylette Duclos, of Summit View Drive, Bailey's Bay, appeared briefly in court, where Magistrate Will Francis charged her with stealing $57,403.11 from Overseas Partners Ltd. (OPL), forging the signatures of OPL executives on company cheques and presenting the cheques in 1999 and 2000. But Duclos did not enter a plea - because of the amount involved, the case will be tried in Supreme Court.
The matter was adjourned until February 21, when lawyers hope to have all of the papers filed. Duclos was released on $5,000 bail with one surety.
