$700,000 given to charity by Bank of Bermuda Foundation
Nine charities and schools that offer long-term benefits to the Island received significant donations from the Bank of Bermuda Foundation totaling nearly $700,000 during the third quarter of this year.
The individual donations of $20,000 and up were given to organisations that provide significant services to the people of Bermuda, a Bank of Bermuda Foundation press release said.
The organisations were: Age Concern, the Bermuda Institute, Bermuda Island Games Association, Bermuda Maritime Museum, The Bermuda Union of Teachers, Endicott Teacher Training programme, Kaleidoscope Arts Foundation, Bermuda Raleigh International, the St. George's Foundation and St Peter's Church.
Since 1989 more than $36.8 million has been donated to Bermudian charitable organisations.
The Bank of Bermuda Foundation helps charities that support the community and people by preserving Bermuda's heritage, culture and environment.
