All power has been restored by Belco

Belco believes it has restored service to all customers who lost power due to Hurricane Florence.A few customers have experienced subsequent outages following initial restoration and these are being dealt with.Company spokeswoman Linda Smith Wilson said yesterday: ?As the hurricane, winds, rain and debris may have weakened parts of the system, that have yet to result in a fault, we may find we have more faults or outages calls than normal during the next few weeks.

?However, we are not expecting great numbers and we will be able to response to them as they occur.?

There may also be customers returning to the Island who were not aware that their power went off during the hurricane and, therefore, have not yet reported their outage noted Mrs. Smith Wilson. At its height Florence wiped out power to 25,000 homes and businesses.

?When we hear from them we will respond.

?We appreciate the cooperation of our customers and the public during the past several days as we have worked to restore power.?
