April showers just miss record

If you thought it rained a lot last month you were right - it was the second wettest April in the last 50 years, according to Bermuda Weather Service figures.
A spokesperson for the Bermuda Weather Service said 8.36 inches of rain fell on Bermuda last month. The record for April occurred in 1984, with 8.62 inches of rain.
The average rainfall for April is 4.4 inches.
The wettest month on record in the last 50 years was October of 1967 - when a whopping 14.55 inches of rain fell on the Island.
