The man who allegedly assaulted a dog warden with a Samurai sword was remanded in custody on Wednesday in Magistrates? Court until his trial on March 9.

Everett Jahni Bean, 21, of Jones Lane, Warwick was charged with unlawfully assaulting Fabian Minors on December 11 and having an offensive weapon in a public place.

He was also charged with obstructing the duties of Fabian Minors and Jeffery Benevides.

The incident was alleged to have occurred at the Warwick Post Office.

Bean appeared for mention on Wednesday and Acting Senior Magistrate Carlisle Greaves decided to remand him until his trial.
