Two muggers robbed a 63-year-old tourist of her handbag at the St. George's Club on Sunday evening.The women was walking towards her accommodation with her husband when two young men approached from behind.One of the men grabbed the female complainant's purse and ran towards Old Maid's Lane. The two tone brown handbag contained US $300, $100 Canadian and personal items.

Tourist, 63, mugged

Two muggers robbed a 63-year-old tourist of her handbag at the St. George's Club on Sunday evening.

The women was walking towards her accommodation with her husband when two young men approached from behind.

One of the men grabbed the female complainant's purse and ran towards Old Maid's Lane. The two tone brown handbag contained US $300, $100 Canadian and personal items.

The suspects are described as two black males, one approximately five foot eight inches tall and the other slightly shorter.

Both were wearing black jackets and appeared to be 15-25 years old.

Police are also investigating the theft of a Red Max blower, a steel pull saw, a hedge trimmer and a Weed Eater from a vehicle parked overnight Thursday on Cobbs Hill Road in Warwick.

Swords stolen

Four swords have been reported stolen from Sandys Community Centre. It is believed the Samurai swords were taken between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Thursday.
