A 53-year-old Pembroke man was stabbed in his home after fighting off burglars early on Sunday morning.
The victim told Police that he woke up around 2 a.m. when he heard noise and noticed two men in his home.
A struggle began with the man stabbed in his right side and left hand before the men escaped. He was taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where he was treated and then released.
The first suspect was described as a dark-skinned male in his 20s, 5ft 9ins with short hair wearing a long-sleeved white shirt with baggy black jeans.
The second suspect is a dark-skinned male in his 30s of a medium build, 5ft 8ins with long unkempt hair wearing a white long-sleeved shirt and black baggy jeans.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.
An 18-year-old Paget man sustained broken ribs and a collapsed lung in a road traffic collision. A 33-year-old man, also hurt in the crash, was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.
Yesterday?s accident took place on Harrington Sound Road near the junction of Broken Hill Road. Both men were riding motor bikes. The 18-year-old was heading west on Harrington Sound Road while the 33-year-old man was heading in the opposite direction. The riders collided while attempting to negotiate a bend in the road.
The 33-year-old man sustained a fractured right shoulder. He was arrested after being released from King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after failing a breathalyser test.

Three people were arrested on suspicion of impaired driving at the weekend. Police also arrested eight people for burglaries.
There were also 20 damage-only road traffic collisions and 11 collisions resulting in injury.
