Police are hunting a bike rider who sped off after a three-way road smash which left a female tourist nursing cuts and bruises.

It appears a rental cycle was travelling west on Middle Road, Warwick, with a car travelling behind when an unknown motorcyclist struck both vehicles while overtaking them, causing the tourist to lose control and fall.

The 38-year-old tourist suffered abrasions to both legs and her right hand.

The unknown motorcyclist rode off following the accident near the junction with Tamarind Vale shortly before 8.30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The driver of the car, a 46-year-old Southampton man, was not injured. The rental cycle received minor damage but there was no damage to the car.

Witnesses to the collision, particularly anyone who may be able to identify the rider who left the scene, should contact P.c. Courtney Williams on 295-0011.
