Devonshire man breaks jaw in crash

A 20-year-old Devonshire man broke his jaw and suffered serious facial injuries in a collision with a car at the junction of Court Street and Elliot Street at 1.05 a.m. on Saturday .

While the driver of the car was unhurt, the injured man was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where, after treatment, he was subsequently arrested by Police for driving while disqualified.

Both the car and the bike were extensively damaged.

Washington Mall stores targeted

Three stores in the Washington Mall were broken into over the weekend, with a cash register and $360 in cash being taken.

Police believe the incidents took place between 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 p.m. Sunday - although they are unsure whether the theft involved one or more culprits.
