A 31-year-old man remains in satisfactory condition in the King Edward VII Hospital following a single-vehicle accident on Canal Road in Pembroke, near the junction with Marsh Folly Road.

Details of the accident are unknown, however Police said the Devonshire man was found lying on the ground next to his bike and was taken to the hospital via ambulance for treatment.

He sustained lacerations to his forehead as well as bruises to both knees. Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to contact P.c. Derek Simmons on 295-0011.

Police are investigating two burglaries that occurred in Warwick last Thursday. The first burglary took place at a residence on Second Avenue. The complainant told police that someone gained entry into his home between 7.20 a.m. and 6.45 p.m. and stole several items including gold jewellery. The second burglary occurred at a residence at Ravello Garden Lane. Sometime during the day on Thursday someone gained entry into the home and stole a Toshiba DVD player.

The Police search for Jamaican national Andrew Laing is over. Laing, 31, was located and arrested by Police on Thursday morning in Southampton. Police thanked the public for their help in locating Laing who was wanted for questioning on immigration matters.

A Rolex watch was swiped in a break-in in Smith's. Saturday's break-in happened at Jennings Road. A Rolex Submariner and a Tag Heuer watch were stolen between 8.30 and 10.30 a.m.
