Jewellery, cash stolen

Several items of gold jewellery, $1,200 cash and 200 euros were stolen from a Middle Road, Southampton home sometime between 7.45 a.m. and 5.15 p.m. on Tuesday, Police said.

In an unrelated burglary, Police said $200 cash was taken from a West Park Lane, Pembroke home sometime between 7.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. the same day.

Inquiries into these incidents are underway, Police said.

Smith's woman hurt as car overturns

A woman was injured when her car collided with a wall and overturned.

According to the Police, it appears that the 24-year-old was travelling east at the junction of North Shore Road and Blackwatch Pass when the she lost control, causing the car to end up on its roof in the westbound lane.

The victim, from Smith's, was treated at King Edward VII Memorial hospital for a laceration to her right elbow.

The car ? which was extensively damaged ? was subsequently righted by Fire Service personnel and Police towed it to the Ducking Stool park area.
