Police are asking for witnesses to the traffic accident on Wednesday that took the life of 22-year-old Dion Woodley.

The accident happened around 1.30 a.m. on St. John's Road, Pembroke. Police are especially interested in speaking with two motorcyclists who were travelling with Mr. Woodley at the time. Anyone with information should call P.c David Ward on 299-4302.

Phone stolen from visitor's room

A Nokia cell phone and an unknown amount of cash was stolen from a visitor's Paget guest room on Wednesday.

The break-in happened between 3 a.m. and 6.40 a.m. that day.

Truck drivers urged to secure loads

Police have received an increase in reports of insecure truck loads spilling onto the roads and they would like to advise drivers to secure their loads.

Police are most concerned with reports of concrete block falling from the back of trucks. Offenders face a $300 fine and/or three months off the road for not having their loads properly secured.
