Cemetery Road will be closed to through traffic for about 16 months from January 4.

It will be shut between Cemetery Lane and the north side of Gorham's bridge, according to a Press release.

Businesses which will be open and accessible on the road include Gorham's, Animal & Garden House, CNC Automated Carpentry, Adventure Travel, TreeCon Ltd., and General Filing.

Residences targeted

Police responded to two reports of breaking and entering at residences on Devon Point Lane, Devonshire at the weekend.

At 10.50 p.m. on Saturday a complainant stated that between 7.15 p.m. and 10.30 p.m. an unknown culprit gained entry into a home and stole $100 in cash and some grocery items.

Meanwhile, at 10.20 p.m., officers spoke with a complainant who stated that some time between 6.15 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Saturday an unknown culprit stole $250 in coins and a red ceramic pot.
