Belco sues CableVision

Belco is suing Bermuda CableVision in a disagreement over fees for services, The Royal Gazette has learned.

Belco spokesperson Linda Smith could not specify the amount of the fees or services rendered, but said there was "a variety of things" at stake. She would not give any more information, saying: "It's in the hands of the courts now."

Would-be robbers arrested

Four men were arrested after an attempted robbery on Front Street at the weekend.

Police on mobile patrol in Hamilton saw the four men approach a 29-year-old Warwick man at 2.25 a.m. yesterday on a bench in front of the ferry terminal. The men made demands for money, and when the man refused they began punching him in the face and head.

Police intervened and arrested the four men. The man was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where he was treated for swelling and bruising and was released last night.

Man hurt in forklift accident

A Pembroke man ended up in hospital after a forklift accident.

The 40-year-old was injured at noon yesterday in the industrial accident at Bermuda Forwarders, Mill Creek Lane, Pembroke.

The Pembroke male was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and later released after treatment. Police, Fire and the Government Health and Safety Officer all attended the scene.
