Dangerous rip currents threatened to drown three American visitors at Horseshoe Beach on Tuesday morning.
Police said a 68-year-old tried to go to the aid of his wife and sister but got tired out himself.
?The victim?s wife and sister were able to make their way to the 68-year-old and assist him while calling for help,? the Police Service said yesterday.
Lifeguards pulled them to shore and administered first-aid.
The Bermuda Fire Service reached the beach before an ambulance arrived to take him to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital. He was later discharged.
More than $700 in American currency was stolen from a Paget guest house between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m on Tuesday, the Police Service said yesterday.
And a thief stole two black Dell computers from Prospect Primary School, sometime between 5.15 p.m. on Monday and 7.30 a.m. on Tuesday, it said.
