No date has been set for the Premier's big move to Clifton, the official residence for the head of Government.

The Ministry of Works and Engineering is preparing the house for Alex Scott but has not set a move in date yet as maintenance work is still being carried out.

Mr. Scott said: "It is a timeline that best suits Works and Engineering. I am in no hurry to move."

The Premier visited the property about two weeks ago and said: "It is beginning to take shape. Police have the security unit there, but wiring for the security system still needs to be done."

Clifton, located on Middle Road, Devonshire, was the former official residence of the Chief Justice but will now become the official residence of the Premier.

Mr. Scott said he believes it will be a nice cottage for him and future Premiers to live.

The Rubber Duck Derby, a fundraiser for Agape House, hopes to raise $120,000 on June 6.

Friends of the Hospice and the Bermuda Electric Light Company launched the eighth Annual Rubber Duck Derby yesterday.

Jane Bermingham, Chairman of Friends of Hospice, said: "This year the theme is "Eight is Great".

"It is a fun way to test the public's knowledge of Bermuda. Clues will appear in newspapers and on radio stations ? all relating to the number eight. If you can solve the "Eight is Great", call Friends of the Hospice with your answer. The first caller each week with the correct answer will win a rubber duck beach towel."

The Derby will be held in St. George's and will open with a mini fair at noon. There will be food, games, face painting, and entertainment. The Corporate Race will be the first race of the day, starting at 3p.m.

In the past funds from the Derby have been used to purchase beds, medical equipment, medication, kitchen equipment and other vital services.

Police are investigating a theft from an unattended car in Par-la-Ville Road car park.

The car was broken into between 11.45 and 12.10 p.m. last Tuesday.

A rectangular blue denim wallet containing an undisclosed amount of cash and other personal items were taken.

Earlier on the same day, between 10.40 a.m. and 11.30 a.m., someone broke into an apartment in Loyal Hill Pass, Devonshire.

The thief got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and jewellery.

And Police have reported four break-ins which took place over the weekend.

Two of them, in Warwick and Sandys involved the theft of small amounts of cash.

At 9.30 p.m. on Friday, April 30, the residents of a Cobbs Hill Road, Warwick, residence were at home when they heard their back door slam.

Upon investigation they discovered that someone had gained entry to their property and robbed them of a purse containing $10 and other personal items.

And on Saturday, someone at the Somerset Bridge Recreation Club, Middle Road, Sandys, told Police that someone had broken into the club between 1 a.m. and 9 a.m. that day.

The thief stole $20 and food items including one pack of "Slim Jims", three tins of cashew nuts and one tin of mixed nuts.

If it's not raining, the Esso East Broadway service station will be closed today. Shell manager David Rose yesterday said the gas station would close for "ongoing renovations" which involve upgrading the station's electrical systems.

Due to safety hazards associated with electricity and water, Mr. Rose said the station would reschedule the work for tomorrow, May 5, if rain impedes work today.
