Police are asking for the public's assistance in locating 23-year-old Rashie Rakia Tucker (pictured).

Ms Tucker was last seen at about 9 a.m. on Monday, and is believed to have taken a ferry from Hamilton to Dockyard.

She is described as a 5ft 4in, light brown skinned and of stocky build. She was wearing her hair in braids. Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Ms Tucker is asked to call 295-0011.

A sick passenger was conveyed to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital as the cruise ship Carnival Pride had to speed up to make an early appearance into Island waters.

Harbour Radio reported that the mega cruise ship came in at 4 a.m. to get a passenger to the hospital due to appendicitis.

And vice-president of Meyer Shipping Capt. John Moore confirmed that the ship did have to make an early morning entrance for a medical emergency.

The cruise ship is docked in St. George's until Monday afternoon.

A chicken, a loaf of bread and some apple pies ended up being a shoplifter's feast on Thursday afternoon.

Police were called to Arnold's Supermarket in Pembroke around 12.55 p.m. where they spoke to a complainant who said a man walked into the grocery store and picked up a cooked chicken, a loaf of bread and apple pies. He then stuffed them into a bag he was carrying and left the store.

Once outside he was confronted by a member of staff and prevented from escaping on a motorcycle. Instead he escaped on foot.

Police described the suspect as being a black male in his 40s, wearing an orange and white striped shirt, black shorts and black sandals.

Police are investigating.

A bag full of cash was stolen from the Van Buren gas station on North Shore early on Wednesday morning.

Police were told the culprits forced their way in to the Hamilton parish gas station around 1 a.m., before stealing the bank bag filled with cash.

The Fire Service was called to several false alarms on Tuesday - including one at the Prison Headquarters.

One firetruck and five fire-fighters turned out ready to battle the false alarm at the Happy Valley Road, Pembroke headquarters shortly before 5 p.m. on Tuesday. The alarm turned out to be a fault in the system.

The Fire Service was also called to a Tulo Lane, Pembroke home, where some controlled burning had got out of hand. The owner had been burning trash in a private garden. The fire was extinguished by five fire-fighters using 150 gallons of water.

And on Tuesday night the Fire Service was called to another scene of controlled burning that had got out of hand. They reached the Devon Springs Road, Devonshire property shortly after 10 p.m. to find that overheated oil on the stove had caused a fire to flare in the pot. The fire was out by the time the Fire Service arrived, however there was smoke damage to the kitchen ceiling and walls and the Fire Service had to ventilate the house.

A stolen car was found submerged in the harbour 15-feet from Darrell's Wharf on Wednesday.

A Police spokesman said the car was stolen from a home in Privateer Road, in Warwick, between 9 a.m. on Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Police found the car on Wednesday afternoon submerged in water. The car was recovered and taken to the Police impound yard.
