A 34-year-old man appeared in Magistrates? Court yesterday on charges of kidnapping two people earlier this week.

John O?Donald Fox, of East Park Lane, Pembroke, pleaded not guilty to depriving both Justin Paul Lavigne and Nicole Caitlyn Stuart of their liberty on April 27.

Crown counsel Anthony Blackman requested that bail be denied, but lawyer Elizabeth Christopher disagreed. Acting Senior Magistrate Carlisle Greaves remanded Fox in custody for trial on May 10.

A 22-year-old man admitted having sex with a girl who was under 16.

The Pembroke man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged in Magistrates? Court yesterday with having unlawful carnal knowledge with a girl who was over the age of 14, but under the age of 16, sometime in November of last year.

Crown counsel Anthony Blackman asked for an adjournment because he had received the file during the proceedings and did not have time to read it.

Acting Senior Magistrate Carlisle Greaves set the matter down for sentencing on May 3.
