Toxic substances used to destroy insects were stolen from a storage garage in Fairylands Road in Pembroke.

Three cases of Cyper Methrin and two cases of Demon White powder were reported by the complainant to be missing from the garage. An electrical fogger was also missing.

?The chemicals that were stolen are extremely dangerous and if exposed to skin can be fatal,? said a Police spokesperson.

Two 32-year-old men faced charges in Magistrates? Court yesterday of robbing a man of 110 Indian rupees, or $2.42, and causing him personal injury.

Kino Masakia Outerbridge, of Southampton, and Jay Chantey Ming, of Pembroke, were not required to enter pleas since they are indictable offences and will be heard in Supreme Court.

They were charged with robbing Harsakumar Panda, on May 11 and causing him personal injury.

The pair were remanded in custody and will return for mention on May 26.

Two off-duty Police officers who were out with colleagues at the Blue Juice bar on Front Street were assaulted yesterday morning.

The officers were at the bar around 12.30 a.m.

One of the officers said he was making his way to the bar when two Pembroke men, aged 24 and 25, began making offensive remarks. He ignored them, but the 25-year-old continued to use offensive language.

An attempt was made to arrest the culprit, but the officer was struck in the face with a glass. The other one was punched in the back of the head by the 24-year-old when he assisted his colleague.

After a brief struggle both men were arrested and detained. The officer with facial cuts was treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and later released. Inquiries are underway.

A thief broke into the storage compartment of a visitor?s cycle at Warwick Long Bay on Monday afternoon taking a hand bag and Nokia cell phone. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
