Bermudian Reverends Trevor Woolridge and Leonard Santucci got scant support in their bids to become bishops in the AME Church yesterday.

One church member told The Royal Gazette that Rev. Woolridge got four votes and Rev. Santucci just one in their attempts to get one of the eight Bishop posts at elections in Indianapolis.

However two women were elected although the caller said they would be unlikely to given the district which covers Bermuda as Bermudian Winton Anderson steps down.

She said there were 59 candidates in the poll and the districts are due to be allotted today.
