Bids are being sought to build a new pier and pumping station at the airport.

Acting Airport Operations General Manager Lester Nelson said a new pump was needed to gather sea water for use in flushing toilets at the airport after problems cropped up last summer during heavy use.

Mr. Nelson said the old pier, which shielded the pump, had been damaged in a storm.
