A rider who lost control of his bike and crashed into a roadside pole was last night in ?critical but stable? condition in hospital.
The 23-year-old suffered head and internal injuries after the accident on North Shore Road, Hamilton, yesterday afternoon.
Police said it appeared the eastbound rider lost control attempting to overtake another vehicle, before he collided with a kerb and struck a pole.
The seriously injured man, from Hamilton Parish, was in a critical but stable condition at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital last night, a Police spokesman confirmed.
Witnesses to the single vehicle accident, which happened near the junction of Trinity Church Road at 3 p.m yesterday, should call PC Adrian George on 2971122.
