Break-ins in Sandys thought to be linked
Police were called to three burglaries in Sandys on Friday evening which they believe could be linked.
The first call came at 5:15 p.m., reporting a break-in at Beacon Hill Road.
The victim told officers that an unknown culprit had gained entry to his home sometime between 6:55 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while he was away from the premises.
The thief took a silver JVC camcorder, a pair of black stereo headphones and personal items.
At 7:50 p.m., Police attended a reported burglary at Daisyfield Drive. The complainant told officers someone got into her home some time between 8:05 a.m. and 6 p.m. that day, while she was out. A pendant, a gold wedding ring, a pair of gold earrings, a gold charm bracelet, a gold ring shaped like a butterfly and what Police have described as ?a pen in a special case? were taken.
At 9 p.m. on Friday, officers were sent to a third incident, this time at Bob?s Valley Lane.
The victim said the burglar had gotten into his home at some point between 6:15 p.m. on Thursday and 7:20 p.m. on Friday. The culprit stole approximately $60 worth of coins and a child?s silver ring with dolphins on it.
Inquiries into the incidents are underway.
